St. John's, Second Harvest, Hope 2 the Hungry team up to fight hunger. More than 200 volunteers will be packing nore than 40,000 meals for needy children of Tallahassee.

Dare to Dream Young Girls Network, Inc.: 820 E. Park Ave., Building A-100. Contact Kimolyn Ferrell at 728-4910. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Program begins June 3 and ends August 15.
Madison County Recreation Association, Inc.: 243 Arnold St., Madison FL. Contact Phyllis Brinson at (850)973-4633. Breakfast served from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Program begins June 17 and ends July 31.

The Ride For Hope 2013

The Ride for Hope is a fun-filled cyclist and wellness event for all ages, providing five distance rides ranging from a family fun ride/walk to a 100-mile century through the rolling hills and canopy roads of Tallahassee. Expo will feature free health and fitness information, blood pressure checks, health screenings, music, food, face painting, and fun for the whole family.

2nd Saturday Family Program

2nd Saturday Family Programs at the Museum of Florida History offer hands-on history for every member of the family. The program, admission, and parking are free. This month the program is related to our exhibit, Seminole People of Florida: Survival and Success. The Seminole people are known for their vibrant patchwork clothing. Museum staff will discuss the patchwork clothing and lead participants in creating their own patchwork bookmarks.

Collards and Cornbread Gatherings
2nd Thursdays of the month, 1:30pm at the Dunn St Youth Farm (526 Dunn St). These gatherings serve as a chance to connect, learn from and collaborate with other food movement players in Tallahassee. Join us for some savory collards and cornbread. Bring something to share if you're able.
